Moving to the NBN is not automatic
Once NBN has announced your area is ready for service, you will generally have 18 months to move your landline phone and internet services to the new NBN network.
If you’re with one of these companies, you don’t have to move to the NBN and your services won’t be disconnected.
Do you have to switch to the NBN?
To continue having a fixed home phone and broadband service, you’ll need to switch to phone and broadband services on the nbn network. In most cases, you have 18 months to switch, from the date when nbn co declares your area is ‘ready for service’.
Is there an alternative to the NBN?
