Can I use TextNow in Canada?
TextNow is a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) service, meaning it uses a combination of Wi-Fi and wireless networks to power its service. Its free app for text and calling, available in Canada and the US, looks to use Wi-Fi as much as possible while limiting the use of data.
Can text now be used internationally?
Calling And Texting When Outside The US and Canada:
When travelling abroad, you can send and receive text messages to a Canadian or an American number through TextNow if you have wifi available. You’ll only be able to call or text Canadian and US numbers, and not numbers outside the US or Canada.
What network does TextNow use?
When there is no WiFi available, our phones will use Sprint’s nationwide data and voice network. Use this map to confirm there is 3G/4G/LTE/Voice coverage in your area. Our SIM Cards utilize nation-wide GSM and CDMA data and voice networks while off wifi.
